Chilli Fagara

Named after the Fagara (Sichuan peppercorn), Szechuan cuisine's most common ingredient, which is famous for the pleasant tingling numbness it leaves on the tongue... This is a small and lovely restaurant that specializes in authentic Szechuan cuisine.

 

Elegant, Chinese style design with red walls, dark wood furniture and bamboo decorations creates a cozy and pleasant ambience that is complemented by the nice and helpful staff...  Perfect for a quiet dinner with good friends.

 

The food is superb, properly seasoned and rich in flavor, as expected from a Szechwan restaurant... However, in order to make it suitable for every palate, they offer three different "spicing categories" on their menu: Tang (mild/not very spicy), Ma (numbing hot) and La (very spicy).

 

Recommended dishes include: Chili dumplings,  Pork slices in a garlic sauce with a hint of chili,  Eggplant in chili sour and garlic sauce,  Chicken in Spicy Peanut Sauce,  Chili jumbo prawns  and  Chilli fagara style crab

Prices are fairly reasonable: dinner is around HK$ 200-350

Open daily for lunch (11:30 am - 2:30 pm) and dinner (5 - 11:30 pm)
