Located in a Peranakan bungalow along Joo Chiat Road, this well known restaurant serves fabulous Cantonese cuisine with a modern touch and, as its name hints, the owner-chef is a master of traditional wok-fried dishes (Zi-char).

There is nothing too creative about the décor: just another ordinary-looking Chinese restaurant... sufficiently elegant and pleasant. The food, however, is another story altogether... wide variety of scrumptious Cantonese fare: Bacon-wrapped prawn rolls with mayonnaise cream, Deep fried brinjal, Hot plate prawns in Portuguese sauce, Baked crab with white cream sauce, Hot plate chicken in black bean sauce and Double taste pork ribs are just some of the recommended dishes.

Prices are slightly higher than the in the average Katong - Geylang restaurant, but the dining experience is superb... expect to pay around SG$ 30-50 per person
