Botan Japanese Restaurant

Visiting Singapore ?
Guided day trips are a very nice way to explore this unique and beautiful city...

This small and homey restaurant serves lovely Japanese food, with some emphasis on the cuisine of the island of Kyushu in southern Japan.

The place is pleasantly designed in a simple Japanese style... not too pretentious or showy... The staff are helpful and friendly, and the menu features a range of a few different Japanese "bento" sets, alongside some more 'unique' specialties, and fresh Sushi and Sashimi.

Signature dishes include Kaisen Don (assorted fresh raw seafood, served with rice), Katsu Don (a bowl of rice topped with a deep-fried pork cutlet, egg, and condiments) and Japanese Tofu Steak, while the recommended "bento sets" include Cold soba with tempura set, as well as their famous "Botan Set" which is quite big and comes with a bit of everything...

Reservations are very recommended, as the small restaurants fills up pretty quickly.

Prices are quite reasonable: A decent meal is about SG$ 30, which is not too bad for a Japanese eating place.
