These two fantastic backpacker hostels probably belong to somebody who really likes bears, as well as pun games… They both enjoy great locations in the heart of Chinatown, a heartbeat from many attractions, restaurants and shops, and less than five minutes from Chinatown's MRT station.
The hostels were open just a few years ago and everything in them is still spanking new… The staff are friendly and try to help in whatever way they can, and although the rooms are slightly claustrophobic, they are clean and pleasant all the same, with wood parquet and vivacious colours… Showers and toilets are very clean and properly maintained, but, again, quite small in size.
In the lounge, you can find plenty of guidebooks and maps, large TV with a variety of DVDs and video games/consoles to choose from, as well as free internet connection and free use of their laptops.
The rate for a dormitory (Ten in a room) is SG$ 26 per bed per night at the time of writing and includes breakfast, free coffee, tea and hot-chocolate, free local calls, laundry room (ironing facilities), clean bed linen, communal kitchen, private lockers and so on…
