Authentic Peranakan (Nonya) buffet at Chilli Padi Nonya Café

.

.

This lovely café, an offshoot of the extremely famous (and popular) Chilli Padi Nonya Restaurant on Joo Chiat Road, serves an excellent Peranakan (Nonya) buffet at a very affordable price and in a nice and unpretentious environment.

Although very distant from the extravagant buffets you'll find at the city's ritzy hotels, the relatively small café is pleasant and you can dine indoors or 'alfresco'... The buffet boasts a good selection of scrumptious, authentic Peranakan delicacies... Great treat at a small price.

Prices are extremely reasonable: Buffet lunch, or dinner goes for approximately SG$ 15, while the afternoon high-tea buffet is around SG$ 8

Open daily for Lunch (11am - 2pm), Afternoon high-tea (3 - 5:30pm) and Dinner (6 - 10pm).

North Bridge Commercial Complex, 470 North Bridge Rd., (between MRT-Bugis

Station and Raffles Hotel),                                                  Phone: 6339 7745

The café has closed down, but you can still visit the original restaurant in Katong:
