Visiting Hong Kong ?
Guided day tours are a very nice way to explore this unique and beautiful metropolis...
Aurora serves international modern cuisine at its best, with more than a touch of French and Italian influence, and at prices that are quite reasonable for this class of restaurant.
Located on the 10th floor of Taipa's Crown Macau, the restaurant boasts a stylish and modern décor that is both classy and informal at the same time, and is surrounded by large windows that provide beautiful views and pleasant sunlight.
There is also a spacious outdoor terrace, where you can lounge in one of the comfy armchairs and enjoy your aperitif or digestif "alfresco".
Here are some of the dishes we chose to recommend: Fettucini nero con aragosta (Squid-ink Fettuccine with lobster and spicy tomato sauce), Mini Wgyu burgers with Raclette cheese and Fois Gras, Le Pigeon (Slow-baked breast of Bresse Pigeon, infused with truffle and served with Cassis reduction) and Roasted eggplant-wrapped seabass with baby mushrooms and red onion.
Desserts are also quite enchanting... The Tiramisu with hazelnut biscotti and chocolate emulsion, Chocolate mousse with praline, Mascaprone and Cointreau soufflé and Dark chocolate molten cake with vanilla icecream and whipped hazelnut praline ganache seem to be the nicest ones...
As expected, there is an impressive wine selection, with labels from all around the world.
The Hong Kong Card allows you to enjoy the city's best restaurants without having to dig too deep in your pockets...
Prices are not too high for this class of restaurant: A full a-la-carte dinner ranges anywhere between MOP$ 350 and MOP$ 600 (although it can be much higher than this, if you opt for any of the very special items), while set lunch ranges from MOP$ 188 for the 2 course deal to MOP$ 218 for the 3-course one.
Their Sunday buffet goes for MOP$ 388 which is not bad for such a splurge.
Open daily for lunch and dinner (on Sunday, they serve Brunch Buffet)
