Visiting Singapore ?
Guided day trips are a very nice way to explore this unique and beautiful city...

This lovely café style restaurant serves great Turkish and Middle Eastern fare in a nice and pleasing environment and at relatively moderate prices.

Located on Kampong Glam's Bussorah Street, a stonethrow away from Arab Street, the relatively small restaurant boasts a beautiful yet unpretentious décor, with nice Turkish ornaments... Ambience is relaxed and easygoing and you can almost think you are in a lazy Turkish bazaar café...

The extensive menu features a good choice of delicacies, which extends far beyond the ordinary shebang of Döner kebab and Hummus... with focus on lamb, eggplant and other authentic Mediterranean ingredients...

You can start the feast with some lovely "Mezze" : Those are Middle-Eastern dips and salads that are served on small plates, as starters... including Hummus,  Babaganoush (eggplants and tahini paste),  Tabbouli (Lebanese salad of parsley, tomatoes, cracked wheat, olive oil and lemon-juice),  Dolma (Turkey's famous stuffed vine leaves) and the likes...

Recommended warm appetizers include the Borek (a feta-cheese filled pastry), the Imam bayildi (stuffed deep-fried eggplant) and the Musakka (a traditional dish of baked eggplant, zucchini and potatoes, with lamb sauce, béchamel and cheese).   Recommended mains include a variety of scrumptious, juicy kebabs, like Kofte (minced lamb patties), Beyti Kebab, Ali Nazik and more...

There are also some really nice desserts to complement the meal with...

Prices are quite moderate: around SG$ 20 - 30 for a decent meal
