This lovely restaurant serves fabulous Japanese - Korean style Yakiniku grill in a very pleasant environment.
Although considered as Japanese, Yakiniku (also known as Japanese BBQ) was actually invented in Korea and had later "traveled" to Japan with Korean migrants... It refers to a style of cooking bite-sized meat and vegetables on griddles over flame of wood charcoals... Diners order marinated pieces of top quality beef, chicken, seafood and what not and cook it by themselves... (Wagyu rib-eye chunks, Beef tongue and Tiger prawns are among the most popular choices, although first timers are advised to order one of the sets, so they can get a taste of everything...)
Located at Robertson Quay, near the Singapore River, the relatively small restaurant boasts quite a nice décor... not too pretentious or glitzy, but just warm, homey and pleasant... service is attentive and friendly, and there is a good supply of cold beers to complement the food...
Prices are not too bad for this quality and dinning experience, but are slightly higher than average: around SG$ 50-70 per person
